Katie is
currently a member of the NASCAR Drive for
Diversity Program with team owner Frank Jordan
of Golden State Racing, Inc. in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series in Northern
California.
Golden State Racing holds two NASCAR Championships in the NASCAR
Whelen All American Series with veteran driver Eric Schmidt in
2003 & 2007. Schmidt, who will be Katie’s team mate and driving
coach, also won the SRL Southwest Tour Championship in 2006.
Katie’s Plans for 2009 include the Whelen Late Model Series at
Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, Calif, limited races in Davey
Hamilton’s Super Late Model Touring Series, and a Firestone Indy
Lights test at the end of the season. 2010 plans call for a
limited NASCAR Truck Series schedule and other events to be
determined.
