Hagar pilots the No. 10 Rich Christensen's ArmDropLive.com/ Qdoba Mexican Grill/Berco Redwood/NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry. After testing Hagar, team owner Bill McAnally was impressed with the 22-year old and gave her the opportunity to start her first NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model race. She qualified the No. 10 Toyota in eighth. During the race Hagar fell back a couple of spots to tenth. At laps 45, she made one last charge towards the front to finish in sixth.

April 26th - Second start for Katie at All American Speedway. Qualified 6th.
Finished 6th out of 20 cars.

May 3rd - Qualified 8th. Tenth place finish out of 22 cars.

May 24th - Qualified 15th. DNF - Accident.

June 14th and June 21st - The #10 BMR Qdoba Toyota ran it's 5th and 6th races of the year at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA on June 14th and June 21st.

On June 14th Katie qualified 18th out of 21 cars. Racing hard and handling the tight Toyota #10 Katie had a finish of 21st after an involvement in a late accident that happened in front of her, causing her to bring it in before the checkered flag.

After a frustrating weekend the BMR team crossed their fingers in hopes to get back into the top six position. Katie qualified 17th out of 22 cars in the double race weekend of two 75 lap main events on June 21st. Engine problems brought the BMR car back into the pits finishing 17th out of 22 cars in the first 75 lap segment. The #10 finished 18th out of 21 cars in the second segment.

"It can only go up from here.." said Hagar. " It's a long way for me to come to just give up. There are up's and down's in racing...this is just the down." "We're going to pull up our boots and shoot for next weekend. That's all we can do!"

June 14th - Electrical and Motor Issues Bring the BMR Car Back Behind the Wall
The #10 Bill McAnally Racing, Qudoba, NAPA Toyota had to bring it in behind the wall after losing power during the 100 lap main event at All American Speedway in Rosevile,CA. Hagar and her BMR team have been working hard to get the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Late Model back into the top five. Katie started in the rear working her way up through the field when starting to overheat and losing horsepower, causing her and her team to call it an early night.

Katie will be attending the Grand National Camping World West race at Irwindale Speedway in California on Friday July 4th giving a helping hand to BMR teammate Austin Cameron.

July 5th - On July 5th Katie flew in with the BMR Grand National Race teams from Irwindale Speedway to compete at her weekly race track in Roseville, CA. The #10 Toyota brought home a solid ten place finish out of a field of 20 cars in the 50 lap main event race.

Katie will head to Oregon on July 12th with the #18 Grand National Team. Next NASCAR Whelen All American Series race will be July 26th. Stay tuned through Bill McAnnally Racing.

July 26th - Katie scores her 5th Top 10 finish at All American.
Katie stayed back in Roseville, California to race in the 50 lap main event at All American Speedway while the Bill McAnally Racing Grand National Crew headed to Evergreen Speedway for the NASCAR Camping World West Series. Hagar, driving the #10 BMR Toyota, had a successful weekend pulling off her 5th top ten finish of the year. Hagar qualified 7th only missing the invert by one position.

"I was really hoping the invert would at least be the first 7 cars. To be able to start on the pole and up front would have been a great opportunity for the #10 Toyota tonight."

"The car was decent, but still needs some tweaking. We're getting closer and closer every week. We tested last Thursday and had a great day. We picked up two-tenths from where we were. I'm just trying to stay positive and make the best of it all. We'll be back next weekend to try it again."

Katie and her team will return at All American Speedway on August 2nd. Stay tuned for more racing news, Believe in Yourself 101 action, and NASCAR Drive for Diversity updates.

The first four cars inverted with Hagar starting third. 35 Laps into the 50 lap main event the #10 was running consistently in the top five until a late race accident forced her Quodaba Toyota to make a pit stop. August 9th - HAGAR ADDS ANOTHER TWO TOP TEN FINISHES
The #10 Toyota BMR Car driven by NASCAR'S Drive for Diversity Driver Katie Hagar added another two Top 10 finishes in the Toyota Twin 50's on August 9th. Katie qualified 7th for both 50 lap main events, running a quick time of 13.95 at 86 miles an hour out of a field of seventeen cars. All cars qualified less than a tenth of a second off the pole sitter. With such a tight field, Katie raced hard in the first 50 and battled her way up through the field. Holding a fifth place spot with 25 laps to go, the #10 was spun going into turn one by the #00 and had to go to the rear. Before the checkered flag flew Katie worked her way back up the field a second time and still pulled off a sixth place finish. "We are getting so close, we are banging doors with John Moore, the points leader and even teammate Paulie Heraka...with the consistant help and drastic changes that needed to be made to the car, these last couple of weeks have been what late model racing should be!" Hagar stated.

The second 50 lap segment, Katie started once again in the 7th place spot and held her own through the whole race finishing a solid 7th place finish. In total, Katie has eight top ten finishes out of the thirteen races she has started for BMR.

August 16th - HAGAR MAKES INTO TOP TEN DURING 50 LAP WRECKFEST AT AAS
On August 16th the #10 BMR Toyota brought home another top ten finish at All American Speedway. This is Hagar's ninth top ten finish in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series. Katie qualified seventh out of a field of sixteen cars and was determined to finish in the top ten. After multiple re-starts and wrecks Katie kept her starting position and finished a solid 7th. "The car wasn't as good as last week, but we were able to make it work. Everyone on this team tries really hard to make this car turn left for me. There were a lot of restarts and wrecks tonight, I sat back for a while letting the cars in front of me battle it out because I had a feeling there was a great deal of tension between my competitors. Sure enough I was able to keep my car in one piece and pull off a top ten! We only have a few more races left and I'm going to give it all I've got."

Katie is running a part time schedule at AAS and has moved up to 14th in points.

HAGAR FINISHES SEASON WITH 11 TOP TEN FINISHES

Katie and her BMR #10 Toyota closed out the 2008 race season for Bill McAnally with 11 top ten finishes. On August 23rd Hagar posted her best qualifying position of the season at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA. She ran a fast first qualifying lap of a 14.07 to put the Qdoba late model 5th position out of a field of nineteen cars Hagar finished the feature in the 6th position knowing she only had three more races left at AAS.

On August 30th Katie had high hopes for the #10 as it was unloaded out of the BMR hauler. She drove the Qdoba Toyota hard on one of California’s hottest days of the season. In 100 degrees heat Katie ended a qualifying position of 11th and a safe 13th finish.

The last event of the season on September 6th  ended with twin 50 lap features at All American Speedway. Driving the BMR #10 Qdoba Toyota  for one last time, Hagar pulled off a top ten finish in the second 50 lap segment. “I’m extremely happy to finish off the race season for BMR in the top ten… and in one piece! It’s been a challenge out there for sure, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I tried my hardest and I appreciate the opportunity. I hope to continue as a D4D driver next year and shoot for WINS, WINS, and more WINS!”

NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver, Katie Hagar would like to thank all of her 2008 sponsors - Bill McAnally Racing, NASCAR, D4D, & Access Marketing - and especially all of her fans for their continued support.
