PASS Outlaws - Monday, September 3rd -

The Katie Hagar Motorsports team traveled the long distance on the Holliday Weekend to Canaan New Hampshire to compete in the PASS Outlaw 100. Katie started and finished last in her heat after having only two practices in order to get ready for the big race. That placed the #14 car in a 19th starting position for the feature race.

Several multi-car tangles left Katie just trying to survive the 100 laps. But  a broken right front rod end as well as a bent sway bar arm ended the day for the #14.

Katie and the #14 will hit Wiscasset Raceway on Saturday September 8th for the $3000.00 TO WIN! NAPA AUTO PARTS and CENTRAL MAINE MOTORS AUTO GROUP 100 LAP PRO STOCK THUNDER RACE AT 2 PM.

3 Day Marathon
Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - August 17th to 19th

Friday - PASS Outlaw Late Models 100 - 5th
Riverside Speedway - Groveton,  New Hampshire

The #14 car was solid all day. With a strong car and a strong team Katie Hagar was the one to beat in the PASS Outlaws 100 lapper.

Katie: " The race went well...we definitely had a top three car, maybe even the car to beat! We got caught up in a wreck in turn 1 and 2 halfway through the race which set us back a couple of positions, but we had the best car it's been all year long. Having that kind of car we were able to work our way back up through the field.

Unfortunately with two laps to go we were passing a car on the outside for position and somehow cut a left front tire as well as a right rear tire. We lost two positions just from that incident but finished the race with a top 5 finish and stayed in one piece which allows us to keep racing the remainder of the weekend. I was fortunate to have the help that I had this weekend and looking forward to racing both Saturday and Sunday at Wiscasset Raceway, my home track."

Saturday - Clark's Car Crushing Pro Stocks 50 - 7th
Wiscasset Raceway - Wiscasset, ME

The Katie Hagar Motorsports Inc. Team had a long travel back from Groveton, NH but that didn't stop the #14 Dodge Charger. It's been six years since Katie has raced at her home race track, Wiscasset Raceway. Katie competed in the Pro Stock Division pulling out a solid 7th place finish out of 20 cars. With a large crowd in the stands Katie was able to do live TV with Trackside just before the race and have a second appearance on Mainly Motorsports.

Katie's statements on Saturday's Race at Wiscasset Speedway:
"It was a late night last night after running in Groveton, New Hampshire but I feel strong as ever! It's been a long time since I've raced here and I'm looking forward to it. This facility has changed so much since it's changed ownership, and I'm definitely looking forward to see the full potential of this speedway. Running with the Pro Stocks is a great opportunity to get some valuable seat time. My team has worked hard all week so I'm happy with our finish tonight. Again we played it on the safe side and kept in one piece for tomorrow's PASS 150."

Sunday - PASS North Super Late Models 150 - 19th
Wiscasset Raceway - Wiscasset, ME

For the third day straight Katie Hagar and her team were back at the track to compete in the PASS North Super Late Model 150.

The #14 started 27th out of 30 cars and finished 19th. Katie was running a smooth and consistent race before getting caught up in "The Big One" wreck in turn one at lap 102. With only cosmetic damage, one pit stop, and one Lucky Dog free lap, Katie finished the full 150 laps completing her 300 green flag lap race weekend.

Katie's view of Wiscasset's PASS Race:
" Having run so well the night before I was concerned that car wasn't as strong today. The track was quite different in the daylight, and we struggled in our practice. We had to use our heat as if it was another practice because I wasn't 100% satisfied with the car.

Running with some of the best drivers here in the North like Mike Rowe, Stan Meserve, Kelly Moore, and Dave Dion, I wanted to make sure we had a comfortable yet competitive car. I'm out here to earn respect but stand my ground at the same time.

It was a survival race for me. The goal to bring the car home in one piece. We have some fender work to do, but I know I did my job tonight and that's all that matters. Hearing the crowd tonight at driver introductions really made me realize that I can do this and I'm here to win just like all the other guys."

Clark's Car Crushing Pro Stock 50

Saturday, August 4th - 9th Place

The #14 Katie Hagar Motorsports Inc. team hit the track hard Friday, August 3rd for testing at Wiscasset Speedway to get ready for the Saturday night Clark's Car Crushing Pro Stock 50 lapper. After making multiple setup changes during eight hours of practice, Katie left the track with consistant 15.3-15.4 lap times.

On Saturday the Pro Stocks had three practices, two heats and the 50 lap feature. With a slight rain delay after the first two practices the track changed dramatically. The #14 was tight and pushing out of turn four so the rain delay helped us and was beneficial! Most of the other competitors said their cars went the other way, so I knew the heat races were going to be interesting since we didn't have another practice.

Drawing a 5th place outside starting spot  in the second 12 lap heat,  I was able to stay and hold that 5th place spot earning the tenth place start position in the feature. We still had a tight car and needed more bite so the team made a few more adjustments before feature time.

Ten laps after the Green flag dropped, my car really started to come in.
I was waiting for my tire temps to come up before I could make any moves on the outside grove. Wiscasset's turn 3 through turn 4 is really rough and has no bite. When you have a competitor on the inside of you, you have to be aware of the roughness and keep in mind that the inside car could push up into you. If you get too high coming out of turn 4 you could lose it on the front stretch. So I wanted to make sure my car was 100% under me before making any moves.

With 25 laps on the scoreboard, we caught up to two cars battling side by side which held us back for a long time. Having a great car we were able to pass them both for position. On Lap 45 the caution came out for Charlie Colby. We had a great restart and crossed the finish line in  9th place and in one piece.

I couldn't have done this with out the help of my team, Seth Holbrook, and Doug White.

I would also like to thank NC Hunt Lumber and Skip Cahill Tire for their continuing support.

We look forward to our next PASS Outlaw Late Models Series event at
Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH on Friday, August 17th.

Katie is currently living in Concord, NC. She is traveling on the weekends to New England and competing in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Outlaw Late Model Series.

The #14 crew had everything all set and ready to go for the competitive weekend. We practiced all day Saturday and was able to leave the car satisfied for Sundays race. We drew an 11th place start for the heat putting us second row outside.

Within that short ten laps only 5 or 6 laps down, another competitor blew his motor dumping oil all over the track causing me to spin out behind him into turn 2. Luckily we didn't hurt the car any and was able to take a 17th place start for the PASS outlaw 100 lap feature.

Battling for position after position with 17 laps to go racing for a 9th place spot running on the outside, I was forced high and hit the turn 1 sand bank. Having a tough #14 car we were able to bring the car home with only cosmetic damages.

Our next race with be at Canaan,NH and now we will go stronger than ever!  KATIE

Speedway 95
Sunday May 27th
Coumminity Pharmacies 100
14th Place

It was a long trip up to Bangor, but the excitement for me to finally be getting into the car after being rained out last week was extremely high! It was going to be really nice out and we had plenty of help...very good help at that!

We had three fifteen minute practices, our first two practices went awesome. We were 3rd fastest in practice overall. The last practice I got to high and drove in to hard spinning out into turn one putting me up into the tires. We ended up having to use our heat as if it was another practice to see if we seriously bent anything. We knocked the toe out and twisted up my fan in the front and also moved the rearend forward but nothing to serious to keep us out of the race.

We started dead last in the 100 lap feature and finished 14th out of 22 cars. It was definitely a "survival" race for me. The car wasn't what it was in practice but I drove it to what it was and brought it home in one piece.

Our next race is at Unity, we are looking forward to it and hope to be a top 5 car! Better luck next time : )  KATIE

Katie Hagar Motorsports
Starts the Season at
Beech Ridge on 5/5

Katie will be concentrating on the PASS Outlaw Late Model Series for 2007 with the newly rebodied #14, now configured with an Outlaw wedge-type, high downforce body.

After a 2 week rain delay, the PASS racers gathered at Beech Ridge in Scarborough, ME for an afternoon of practice on Friday the 4th. Katie and the team got to work sorting out the car with it's fresh aerodynamics.

Katie pulled a low number in the draw for the heat positions and started on the pole of Heat 2. At the drop of the green for the 12 laps of the heat, Katie fell into second and fought off a couple of challengers to finish there and earn the fourth starting spot in the 100 lap feature.

In the feature, Katie settled into a mid-pack spot with the plan of running a steady pace for the first three-quarters of the race and save the car for the final 25 laps. However, the #14's battery gave up on lap 35, and Katie was pushed to the pits by a wrecker with a 16th place finish.
