NEALS - Unity
Raceway - 9/5
For the biggest NEALS race of the year - and one of the longest and highest paying Allison
Legacy races in the entire country - Katie returned from her freshman year studies at
Campbell University in North Carolina to compete at Unity Raceway on September 5th.
The event was run in three 50 lap segments with position points awarded for each portion.
Katie posted finishes of eleventh, seventh, and fourth - in the third segment finishing
just ahead of Ben Rowe in the #4 Hagar team car.
Adding up the finishing places for 22
finishing points gave Katie an
event overall result of a tie for 5th.
The PASS "Guest Drivers" Ben and Mike Rowe and Johnny Clark finished 1-2-3
overall in the Little Dawg 150.
In the awarding of NEALS season
points, Katie and 2004 points leader Dave Sullivan in car #17 each scored 122 markers to
top the NEALS competitors. |
